Charles Perard was born on February 6, 1891. He was married to Anna Cietta "Etta" (Bessette) Perard-Eldridge, and had children Madeleine Martha (Perard) Casko-Frechette, Phyllis Mae (Perard) Dean, and Bernice (Perard) Foster. Charles Perard died at age 61 years old in 1952.

In 1891, in the year that Charles Perard was born, on March 14th, a lynch mob stormed the Old Parish Prison. The mob lynched 11 of the 19 Italians who were arrested for - but found to be innocent of - the murder of New Orleans Police Chief David Hennessy.
Did you know?
In 1921, when he was 30 years old, on November 11th, the first burial was held at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. The body of an unknown soldier - selected by Army Sgt. Edward F. Younger who was highly decorated for valor and received the Distinguished Service Cross in "The Great War" - was brought back from France (World War 1) and placed in the newly completed tomb. President Warren G. Harding officiated at the interment ceremonies.
