He was my grandfather
Charles passed away when I was about 8. I don't have a lot of memories of him. I do know most every day he walked to Benny Howard's store on N Main St to chat with the other "old guys" and drink a 6oz coke!
He was feeding the horse one morning and had a stroke, falling into the manger. He never did recover and died at home.
I also remember he had a cat he loved, "Tom".
