Charles Wayne Eskridge was born to William Nathan Eskridge (1906 - 1974) and Sophia Jane Brinson (1907 - 1992). He had siblings Phyllis Jean Eskridge (1930 - 2007) and a brother. A veteran of World War II, Charles enlisted in the United States Army on March 23, 1943, and was discharged on November 1, 1945. Charles Eskridge married Andrea Hill in 1971 in California. They divorced in February of 1973. He also married Naomi P. Clark on July 29, 1975, in Monterey County, California and they had one son.
