    Charlie Calvin Womack was born on December 14th, 1926 in Greenville, Alabama to Charlie Womack Jr (1901 - 1986) and Tessie Lee Crenshaw (1907 - 1995) and he had two siblings, one brother, Harrison, and one sister, Jessie. He also had a sister and a brother who died in infancy. Note: The Social Security Death Index notes that his date of birth was December 14, 1927 as does his World War II draft card. His family and his Social Security Application say that he was born on the same date in 1926. On his December 1945 World War II draft card, Charlie described himself as being five feet six inches tall and as weighing 132 pounds. He had brown eyes, black hair, and a "light brown" complexion. He also had a scar on the right side of his forehead. Charlie Womack married Edna and they had a daughter, Darlene, and sons Damion, Calvin, and Roderick.     WOMACK, MR. CHARLIE C., age 73, of Birmingham, died May 5, 2001. He was a member of St. Joseph Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 10, at noon from the church with burial in Zion Memorial Gardens. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Edna Womack, daughter, Darlene Brown (Jerry); sons, Damion Womack, Calvin Womack (Barbara) and Roderick Hill (Ledena); mother, Mrs. Tessie L. Womack, sister, Jessie Pearl Bushlo; 12 grandchildren. Arrington Funeral Home directing. - Birmingham Post-Herald (Birmingham, Alabama) Wednesday, May 9, 2001 on page 21.
