Introduction

Cheryl loved horses. Her little sister, Debbie Shivitz, died of cancer at age 15 in 1970, leaving Cheryl the only child of Bill and Ann Shivitz, who resided in Willoughby Hills, Ohio. Bill passed away in 2008, having buried both of his two children before his own death. Apparently Cheryl had a daughter named Sarah, but I don't have any info about her.

Cheryl and her sister, Debbie, grew up in Willowick, Ohio, until Cheryl entered high school. Her parents, Bill and Ann Shivitz, bought a plot of land in Willoughby Hills, Ohio, and built a two-story house with a horse barn in the backyard. Cheryl then attended South High in Willoughby, graduating in 1970. By this time, her younger sister Debbie was battling cancer, and could no longer attend school. Debbie passed away at age 15 in 1970, and is buried in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, Ohio, between their mother, Ann, and father, Bill.
