    The Nebraska Signal March 1966 Chris M. Broderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris N. Broderson, was born in Minneapolis, Minn., December 18, 1877. As a child he was baptized in the Lutheran faith, later was confirmed and remained faithful to his church throughout his lifetime. At the age of six he moved with his parents to Nebraska. The family located on a farm northwest of Shickley, where Chris grew up. He was united in marriage to Anna Marie Stolldorf, September 18, 1901. The Lord blessed their marriage with one son and three daughters. they lived on a farm near Shickley until 1938, when they established their home in Geneva. April 30, 1963, Mr. and Mrs. Broderson moved to Tabitha Home at Lincoln. Mr. Broderson became ill Saturday, March 12, and was called to his heavenly home Friday, March 18, 1966, at 8:30 a.m. Preceding him in death were his wife, who passed away April 14, 1965, his parents, one brother, Lou,; one sister, Mamie Franz; one son-in-law, Bill Everts, and one grandson, Merlyn Broderson. He leaves to mourn his departure one son, Charlie and his wife of Baytown, Tex.; three daughters, Miss Sophia and Miss Edna, both of Lincoln, and Mrs. Pearle Everts of Geneva; one brother, Henry of Menlo Park, Cal.; two grandchildren Mrs. Monte Scott of Kearney and Keith Everts of Ravenna; three great-grandchildren, Kim, Ann and Jayne Scott; other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted from the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Geneva, Monday, March 21, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Hermann John of Lincoln and Rev. David Fischer of Geneva officiating. A group composed of Mrs. William Hallman, Mrs. William Bauer, Miss Beverly Renneke, Miss Donna Headrick, Miss Helen Riel, Edward and Steven Everts, sang "Asleep in Jesus" and "Abide with Me," with Miss Jean Hinrichs as accompanist. Pallbearers were Robert Frenzen, Henry Hesse, Kenneth Koch, Dean Stoldorf, Harold Stoldorf and Harry Wittmack. Interment was in the Shickley Cemetery.
