Clarence Virgil Tucker was born to Isaac Means Tucker (1877 - 1945) and Susan Abigail Calico (1879 - 1966). He had nine siblings: Beulah Mary, Elwood Josiah, Vertress, Lee Floyd, Otto Dee, Mae Leona, Blake Grady, Doris Eva, and Jack James Tucker. Clarence Tucker married Dorothy Louise Esque (1913 - 1996) and they had sons Romey "R.C." Hurt (1931 - 2009) and Ronald T. (born 1937) and daughters Judith and Janice.
