  • Obituary

PATULLO. - In sad but loving memory of Private   Clarence Wm. Patullo, killed in action at Pozieres, 11th August, 1916, beloved son of   Martha and the late David Patullo, brother of Mrs. Nelson (Sydney), Jessie, Percy, Gordon (on   active service, France), Charlie (returned), Ruby, and Jack, aged 19½ years. He has carried his cross, he has gained his crown, Though he sleeps in a foreign grave And we think of his duty nobly done, Manly, unselfish, and brave. Somewhere in France, no matter where, He is just as near to heaven As if he had lain in his bed at home, When the signal to cease was given. One of Australia's heroes. - (Inserted by his mother, brothers, and sisters.)
