Clarice Alston was a farmers daughter from small town in wilmington north Carolina.she was the youngest of 4 girls and two boys. She came to buffalo in the late forties with her then sons father Percy Perry who was also from north Carolina. Both familys knew of each other, because there were few land owner coloreds who were farmers.Clarice Alston was studying to become a teacher in the buffLo school systems. She leaves behind a son and 4 Grand children all alive and well living in Buffalo Ny. Clarices Son and children frequently visits North Carolina to see family and friends.
