Cleone (Iron) Calling Thunder of Ethete, Fremont County, Wyoming USA was born on April 19, 1903 at Fort Washakie in Fort Washakie to Grace Black Coal Iron and Elmer Iron. She had siblings Ione Wanstall, Winnie Iron, Fatima Hungary, Verna Revere, Josephine White, Albert Twing, Cromwell Iron, Otto Revere, Victor Revere Jr., Leslie Gould Sr., Isaac Spoonhunter, Cynthia Iron, and James Iron. Cleone was baptized in 1904 at St. Michael's Episcopal Church Ethete, in Wyoming. She married William "Bill" Calling Thunder in 1924, and they were married until death separated them. She had children Merle Grace Thunder Schamp, Clara Louise Calling Thunder Thayer, William "Bill" Thunder Jr., and Richard J "Dicky" Thunder. Cleone Calling Thunder died at age 99 years old on November 30, 2002 at Westward Heights Care Center 150 Caring Way, in Lander, and was buried on December 5, 2002 at Friday Cemetery Thunder Lane Rd., in Ethete.
