My wife and I were talking this evening about our high school experiences and teachers, and Mr. Andriesse came into the conversation. I never had a chance to tell him this, but I am so thankful to have had him for a teacher during the 1980-81 school year. He was firm, fair, and caring. GENUINELY caring. He was the only teacher who ever said, "Son, I believe in you" to me. He said that to me at a time when I desperately needed to hear it. I am so sorry to learn of his passing and I was hopeful of reconnecting with him to tell him thank you. For any of his family members who may see this, rest assured that this man made a monumental difference in the lives of his students. I am living proof. Rest peacefully Mr. Andriesse. Your efforts and contributions are forever appreciated.
