    Clyde was a lover of history and building. He had a full wood shop in his basement. He built and refinished furniture. Clyde was a great teacher and loved to share the things he knew. After retiring from teaching, he was very active in town running auctions and estate sales, participating with the historical society and was President of the Kiwanis. He and his wife Margaret had a summer home in Mt. Vernon, Maine where he also participated in the local Kiwanis in Augusta. He was a member of the Colonia Country Club and Augusta Country Club. He restored a 1925 Model-T and you could see him drive it around locally. He was well liked by all who met him.

    Clyde was well loved by his friends and family. He could speak to anyone (and often did) and put them at ease. He was survived by his wife Margaret, sons James and Kenneth, grandchildren Michael and Jacqueline and great-granddaughter Kristen.
