    I .con asider Clyde Humdy to be my father even though bio logically he was not. Clyde was a kind and giving man I don't know what I would of done without him in my life. he married my mother Roberta when I was 11 years of age. We had a dog named Hector. Clyde gave to me a sense of value to life. Clyde loved to cook, but detested cleaning up afterwards...lol! I remember he cooked The BEST Chicken you can get your hands on. I also cook tacos And a lemon meringue pie that was out of this world! clyde had four biological children I know that he Loved even more there wasn't much communication back then, but he did love his children regardless of what may or may not have been believed; their names were Chuckle, Aaron, Emily and Emily

In 1919, in the year that Clyde Humdy was born, in the summer and early autumn, race riots erupted in 26 U.S. cities, resulting in hundreds of deaths and even more people being badly hurt. In most cases, African-Americans were the victims. It was called the "Red Summer". Men who were returning from World War I needed jobs and there was competition for those jobs among the races. Tension was heightened by the use by many companies of blacks as strikebreakers.

In 1937, Clyde was 18 years old when on May 28th, the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge opened to cars. Taking 5 years to build, the 4,200-foot-long suspension bridge was an engineering marvel of its time - 11 men died during construction. The "international orange" color was chosen because it resisted rust and fading. To the present, it is the symbol of the City that is known throughout the world.
