I was very sorry to receive your message about Colin, he was someone who came into our family in 1999 when he lived with us in Dalgety Bay, Scotland. We worked together on a number of projects including his low noise solid state relays and I enjoyed his friendship and sharing his enthusiasm for electronic design. He would be pleased to know that I kept the relay design alive and retained his name for our company, Root2 Ltd. I'm now in my 80's and still making the relays based on his patented design. We lost contact in 2022 although I occasionally came across him on the internet helping other designers as always.
