She was born in San Antonio Texas. She was born to the Teague family with German ancestry. She had 2 siblings; a sister named Mary and a brother named Clarence. Her mother had a serious mental health issue. When Connie was 3 years of age, her mother took her and the 2 siblings to the train station in San Antonio and unceremoniously left them there. A family friend discovered them. Connie was taken in by the friend "Rachel DeLeon. The other siblings were taken by other friends. Connie then became Concepion DeLeon. She eventually married John Menchaca and lived at 3331 W. Travis street in San Antonio Texas. Her husband passed in 1977 from heart issues brought on from diabetes. Connie had a son and a daughter. Her son passed in 1980 from a heart attack. Connie passed in 1995 from complications of diabetes resulting in a heart attack.

Het ethnicity isn't clear as she claimed to be hispanic primarily because being raised by a hispanic family. She would also say that her father was from the Canary Islands but no one knows for sure. But her last name was actually Teague.
