  • Introduction

    This was my great grandmother. She raised my father and Aunt and lived with our family the last 8 years of her life. She married Henry D Bohannon in 1916 and they moved to Indianapolis around 1917 ir 1918. She was the best cook ever. Her fried chicken and pies were well sought after. She helped care for and took in several young people over the years after raising her grandkids. She was a caring person.

She raised 2 families, took in several young ladies in bad situations. She made famously good pies that everyone requested. She traded pies with the Power & Light security shack across from her house so they would watch over her and the property once her husband passed. She loves HeeHaw, Barnaby Jones and Lawrence Welk. She had her own version of gin rummy eith ever changing rules lol
