She married William Beverly Richardson on May 19, 1937 in Chatham, Pittsylvania County, and they were married until William's death on November 17, 1959. Cora Richardson died at age 94 years old on June 3, 2012 in Danville, and was buried on June 6, 2012 at Highland Burial Park N Main St, in Danville.

    Cora Foley Richardson On Sunday evening, June 3, 2012, her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, took his true and faithful servant, Cora Foley Richardson, to her eternal home. Mrs. Richardson, formerly of Blair Loop Road, had been a resident of Roman Eagle Memorial Home for the past eleven months. Born in the Westover community on August 24, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Willie Green Foley and Zella Foley Hyler. She was married to Willie Beverley Richardson who predeceased her. She had lived all of her life in the Blair Loop Road area and was a lifelong member of Fairview United Methodist Church, where she worked in the nursery, and was a member of United Methodist Women. She retired from Dan River, Inc. in 1982 where she had worked in the sewing room for 38 years. She was a member of the Dan River Retirees Club. Mrs. Richardson is survived by one son, Beverley R. Richardson and his wife, Ann, of Danville; two daughters, Delores R. Conard and her husband, Jesse, of Canton, NC and Katie R. Haley and her husband, Wayne, of Richmond, Va; one sister, Margaret Foley Barksdale of Texas; seven grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Harry Foley, one sister, Viola Foley Cocoris and one granddaughter, Kathy C. Rogers. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview United Methodist Church with the Rev. Barry Foster officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 to 2:00 prior to the service, and they will also receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at the residence of her son, at 148 Reuben Court. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staffs of Emeritus (Loyalton) Assisted Living, Roman Eagle Memorial Home and Dr. Sydney Harris for their loving care. Barker Funeral Home is respectfully serving the Richardson family.
