He married Florence Isabel (Bennett) Dacey, and had children Reginald Francis Dacey, Charles Dacey, and Eleanor (Dacey) Johannsen. Cornelius Dacey died at age 65 years old on December 22, 1935 at Melbourne Hospital in Melbourne, VIC Australia, and was buried at Burwood Cemetery Gilmour St, in Burwood, Whitehorse City County.
