Dale Monk had siblings Lorraine Alice Monk and Mary Eleanor Monk. He married Jean Ellen Groettum, and they had a child Jean Monk. He would also marry Jean Ellen Groettum. Dale Monk died at age 65 years old on February 27, 1985, and was buried at Riverside National Cemetery Section 20 Site 2762 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, in Riverside, Ca.

Eight players on the Chicago White Sox were accused of throwing the World Series, thus allowing the Cincinnati Reds to win, and making money off of the losses.
