    Daniel Amelio Cunsolo was born to Frangesi Antonio Cunsolo and Marie Antonia Gaio, Italian immigrant parents, in Windber, Pennsylvania, USA. He grew up with multiple siblings, including Vincenza Marie, Frank Thomas, Mary Jane, Thomas, Josephine Alverta, Sylvia Anne, Ida Octavia, Clarinda, Matilda Mariorie, and Betty Gloria. In addition, he had one half-sister, Marie Antonia Gaio. In March 1942, Daniel enlisted in the United States Army at New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. His service number was 33167708, and he was assigned to the Branch Immaterial - Warrant Officers, USA. In March 1944, he sustained an injury caused by machinery and was admitted to a medical facility. He was discharged later that year due to "duty" reasons, although the length of his service was not recorded. After some time as a civilian, Daniel reenlisted in the military on August 26, 1948, this time in the Air Force. He was assigned to Hq. & Hq. He served for a total of 17 years and was discharged on September 30, 1965. Daniel was married to Evelynne A Cunsolo, and the couple had two children together. Evelynne passed away in 2001.
