SKILLS • Extensive project management experience including engineering design, construction and commissioning supervision, machinery maintenance and engineering support, rotating equipment specifications and control panel design. • Comprehensive knowledge diagnosing mechanical problems on Gas and Steam Turbines such as Solar, General Electric, Ruston and DR DJ50; 30KV Motors, and gas engines including Caterpillar, Waukesha, Cooper and White Superior. A broad range of Gas Compressors (Reciprocating, Screw and Centrifugal) Compressors such as Sulzer, Ariel, Dresser Clark, Atlas Copco, Ingersol Rand, Nuovo Pignone, Frick, Howden, Siemens and many types of Centrifugal Pumps. Provided machinery maintenance engineering support, mechanical inspections, analysis of control systems, rotating machinery problem diagnostics, root cause analysis for faults, designing and implementing modifications to solve problems associated with major equipment and management of machinery condition monitoring programs. • Expert knowledge in mechanical vibration and process pulsation analysis to determine machinery status and reliability. • Extensive knowledge of control systems for rotating equipment including pipeline transport pumps, and compressor stations, fire water control systems, surge control systems, machinery performance and mechanical condition monitoring. This includes strong technical expertise in designing control logic panels, pipeline and production facilities projects, and flow control systems. In 1947, in the year that Daniel C. Smaistrla was born, in June, the Marshall Plan was proposed to help European nations recover economically from World War II. It passed the conservative Republican Congress in March of 1948. After World War I, the economic devastation of Germany caused by burdensome reparations payments led to the rise of Hitler. The Allies didn't want this to happen again and the Marshall Plan was devised to make sure that those conditions didn't arise again.

In 1955, on September 30th, movie star James Dean, 24, died in a car accident. He was headed in his new Porsche 550 to a race in Salinas California when, traveling at 85 mph, he collided with a 1950 Ford Tudor, also speeding, driven by a 23 year old college student. Dean died, his passenger and the other driver survived.
