Daniel Zevola married Mary Ellen Foster (1917 - 2009) on February 24th, 1935 in Yonkers, New York and they had four sons: Ronald A. Zevola Sr. (1948 - 2011), Daniel Jr., Timothy, and Robert. Daniel's October 1940 World War II draft card described him as being five feet ten inches tall and as weighing 150 pounds. He had blue eyes, brown hair, and a "light" complexion. He belonged to the Local 94 of the International Union of Operating Engineers and ws survived by sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

(Women in Australia and New Zealand already had that right but couldn't run for office.)
