Ruben's parents, Daniel's paternal grandparents, were Rosendo Arguijo (1889-1966) of Texas and Teofila Vasquez (1889-1970) of Texas. Daniel's mother, Lucia Ortiz, was born on January 9, 1918 in Yorktown, Texas and passed away on March 8, 2009 in Lubbock, Texas. She was the daughter of Martin Gonzales Ortiz (1882-1951) of Texas and Manuela Garza Ortiz (1885-1951) of Texas.

Professional Career

He was a Reverend. In his obituary, Daniel was reported to be a flooring installer for over 40 years in Dallas and Lubbock, Texas.

Daniel Ortiz Arguijo was the son of Ruben Arguijo and Lucia Ortiz. His siblings included Adela Arguijo (1936-1937), Ruden Arguijo Jr (1940-1944), and Ruben Arguijo (1943-1982). He was married a few times in his life. He first married Angelita "Angie" Castillo (1950-1977) on May 2, 1969 in Lubbock County, TX. After they separated he married Cecilia Rodriguez on January 27, 1978 in Lubbock County. He then married Criselda Garza on November 21, 1980 in Dallas County. He may have also married Dora Alice Arguijo on May 29, 1969 and divorced on June 17, 1968. They did not have any children together. Daniel was the father of 8 children including Danielle A. Sanchez, and Daniel Arguijo Jr. but unsure of the mother.

DANIEL ARGUIJO Daniel O. Arguijo Sr, LUBBOCK - Daniel O. Arguijo, Sr., 68, of New Deal, formerly called Monroe, passed away on April 10, 2016. Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. today, April 13, at Iglesia Del Nazareno with Pastor Jesse Mendez officiating. Daniel was born on December 10, 1947. Daniel was a flooring installer for over 40 years in Dallas and Lubbock. He was a hard worker and loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly. He is preceded in death by his son, Daniel Arguijo, Jr.; parents, Ruben and Lucy Arguijo; and his brother, Ruben Arguijo, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Criselda; his children, Lucee Salas (Ray), Priscilla Arguijo (Jesus), Daniel Boy Arguijo (Vanessa), Danielle Sanchez (Isaiah), Christopher Arguijo (Amy), Anita Arguijo (Edgar), Carlos Arguijo (Johnelle); 19 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three siblings, ANita Evans of Farmers Branch, Armando Arguijo, Sr. of Lubbock, Amelia Banda of Dallas, and countless nieces and nephews; as well as stepdaughter, Elizabeth Clopper (David); five step-grandchildren; and one step-great-granddaugher. - Published by Lubbock Avalanche Journal on April 13, 2016.
