I met Steve in 1979 in San Bernadino, California. My husband was a young video Grapher in the Air Force and Steve was serving the Air Force too. He was also going to school. He and Vicky had Steve's daughter Julie who used to watch my two little girls from time to time. Bernadette or Details as they called her and a sweet, freckled face little boy named Danny.
We had moved from Louisiana and I was a fish out of water. I was 22 and homesick. I had never been away from home and wrecked our only car going good to Los Angeles to pick my husband up from the airport. Kennedy owing we did not have money for much more than food, Steve ģave us ťhe ùse of his car. Free of charge for as we needed ìt until we could save to repair ours. We have never forgotten that gift to this day and have always tried to pay it forward.
