Professions

Darlene was skilled at acrobatics, and had been a part of two different acrobatic groups. One was "The Nimblettes," and she'd joined that group when she was young (perhaps 12). The other was called "Paulette and Renee," and she'd done that when she was older. They traveled to Europe, doing tricks on the trampoline. Darlene was "Renee" and would dress as a French poodle as "Paulette" acted as her trainer. It is said that Mickey Rooney proposed to her once, but she didn't accept. (He may have found her appealing because of her short stature.) Later on in life, Darlene worked at a Thrifty's.
