Darryl Thomas Downey's father was George Downey and his mother was Bertha Downey. Darryl's mother predeceased him. His obituary says that he died at home at 58 Crystal St, Wethersfieldand, and was attending Wethersfield High School when he passed at the age of 17. Hartford Courant (Hartford Connecticut) 10 Sept 1986 Wed Page 164 Downey, Darryl Thomas Downey, 17, of 58 Crystal St, Wethersfield, died Sept 7 at home. The son of George Downey and the late Bertha Downey, he was born May 20, 1969 in Hartford. He was a student at Wethersfield High School. Besides his father, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Rosa Headen of Chapel Hill, N.C; a host of aunts, uncles, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be Thursday, 11 a.m., at Clark, Bell, & Perkins Funeral Home, 319 Barbour Stl, Hartford. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Calling hour is today, 6 - 7 pm, at the funeral home.
