    The Queenslander. Brisbane 30th April 1892. DAVID RAPPITT, native of Northampton, England, Left Melbourne about five years ago, supposed to be in Queensland. - Communicate with sister, MARTHA MACQUIRE, Thomas-street, Richmond, Victoria. Father dead. Important news. The Townsville Daily Bulletin, Queensland. 24th February 1943. The death occurred last Saturday night of one of Townsville's oldest residents, Mr. David Rappitt. Mr. Rappitt came to Townsville from Northampton, England, when quite young. In the early days he was one of the leading boot and shoe makers of the city, situated in Denham-street. For about 20 years he had lived at 42 Park- street, Pimlico. Mr. Rappitt had a fall on February 18. He was 86 years of age on December 26.
