David Thomas Seicshnaydre is the son of Joseph Octave Seicshnaydre (1879-1930) and Mary Pauline Dubuclay (1883-1972). He was born on July 7, 1907 in New Orleans, Louisiana and had siblings Joseph L Seicshnaydre (1904-1974), Leo Vincent Seicshnaydre (1905-1961), George Lee Seicshnaydre (1905-1974), Florence M Seicshnaydre (1908-1992), Alvin Edward Seicshnaydra (1911-1996), and Anita Leona Seicshnaydre (1916-2002). David's draft registration took place on 3rd November 1941. At the time, he was 34 years old. On 25th November 1940, he enlisted in the United States Army. He was 33 years old and held the rank of Master Sergeant. He served in the Infantry branch and was part of the National Guard, which included officers, warrant officers, and enlisted men. His source of enlistment was the National Guard. David's second enlistment occurred on 28th January 1942. He served until his discharge on 8th January 1947. The enlistment information suggests that David had prior military service before his second enlistment, which extended beyond the start of World War II.
