Grandma Van
Dayta VanKleek was my maternal grandmother.
She loved cats, nice clothes, and big band music and she collected signatures of famous people. She worked at Manikas Sirloin House on S. Main Street in Ann Arbor Michigan for many years. There was an article about her in the Ann Arbor News on March 23, 1975!
Dayta had a twin brother, Dayton Smith. They were as different as night and day! For years they lived on the same street in Ann Arbor.
They had a sister, Helen. I don't really know anything about her.
I would very much like to find information on her husbands: my mom's dad and Grandma's second husband. I never met my mom's dad (I think his name was Earl Latham but not positive) and met Dayta's 2nd husband, "Van", when I was too young to remember him. For years Van lived on Main Street in Ann Arbor and I think his full name was Ferris VanKleek.
