  • Introduction

    Dean Lazzarini, aka "Drake Flash", was Drake High's legendary football and track superstar. He was an all-Marin and all-NorCal football player and was known for being a quick sprint halfback - actually the fastest man in the county on the track and one of the best running backs in the Bary Area - and a quiet and introspect man. He was football coach and history instructor at Sir Francis Drake High School in San Anselmo California. He committed suicide near his family's San Anselmo home on May 27th 2011 and left a note requesting that his family not hold a service no write an obituary about him. He was the caregiver for his father Don for the last six years of his father's life before he died at age 99. The passing of his father took a toll on Dean He is survived by his brother Don Lazzarini.
