    He and his first wife, attorney Leona Roszka Hyland were very prominent socialites in their day. Dean was widowed and remarried Mary Ellen Case (new Swain) in 1961. Only natural child, a daughter, Diana, was born 1963. Dean retired from the Erie County Bar Association in approximately 1966.
