In his 20's, he worked at Penguins Yogurt, continued to open a store in Hollywood, CA, with a team, become Manager. House Mom for many years with his Partner, Gary. Late 30's and early 40's, he was a Bookeeper and Manager at Hadley's in Palm Springs, Ca. He really loved this job, and family there...health problems continued to challenge his ability to stay on as PT, he surrendered to disability.

Desert Aids Project- He volunteered in any way possible weekly, and offered extra help with holidays wrapping gifts, serving food, extending his ear, heart, great smile, and unforgettable laugh! He attended Yoga, Quilting, and Art classes. Helped new members, everyone LOVED him! He cared for close friends, Bill and Carol's Grandma, which he referred to as "Grandma". He cared for her for a few years, 2-3x a week, making her lunch, keeping her excited about Life. When she passed away, Dean took another small decline as well. He loved her, cherished their relationship, being of service, having a purpose as a 'Felt'-LIKE Grandson, and job.
