Joe was my father. He took our family on many memorable vacations to various places. He and mom had a summer lake home in Land O'Lakes, Wisconsin, where they welcomed family and friends for great times. There was a 2-bedroom guest house when there was overflow of visitors and he and mom would fix some very tasty meals. We'd play games on the raised deck half of which was screened. When it was raining, the sound of the rain on the roof of the porch was very relaxing. Fishing, blueberry picking, walking, canoeing, and eating great food were just some of the fun loving ways of spending time with them at their lake home on Little Portage Lake.
