  • Introduction

    Debbie was a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. According to her friend, Debbie Sheffield, while hospitalized in the Desert Samaritan Hospital, she was reportedly visited by Spencer W. Kimball, who was then the president and prophet of that church. Ms. Sheffield also reported that Debbie was frustrated by being intubated with a breathing tube, and she herself removed the tube, stating that she did not wish to live that way. For this reason, I believe that Debbie died in Mesa, Arizona, rather than in California, as is reported in some records.
