I met Dennis on February, 13, 1994. He would become a major force in my life. He was my friend and mentor and I adored him. He taught me about Art, History, Body Building, Music, Mythology, Broadway, Opera....and much more.
I had moved away in 2000 and had been in very little contact with him after that. So I was saddened by hearing of his passing today. I know he had a niche at the San Francisco Columbarium already for him. He thought it was beautiful there. I did to, because shortly after that I also purchased one which is across from his.
Him and I also went on a few trips together. We went to New York, New Orleans, Mexico and Los Angeles.
We would spend endless weekends at Butterfield & Butterfield finding treasures to bid on...sometimes we were even successful at attaining them!!! We would also go to the flea market in Marin and look for treasures there also.
I have so many stories about him.
I know he had two sisters and a brother I wanted to say something to the sister I think In Wisconsin, I apologize but it has been many years and I have forgotten your name, the one who had her Mother come live near her, I am sure you know this already but in case you did not I wanted to say that he loved you very much!!! I think you were his favorite, he alway felt comfortable talking to you. My hope before his passing is that he was able to open up to you completely. If he did, then you understand.
I have many photo's of Dennis and I will get them out and post them to share with everyone. (I can hear him now, They better be flattering pictures Clint!...he was very vain...lol)
I better go, because I think I'm gonna cry. I love you Dennis.
