    Desiderio "Dessi" Cappellanti was born on June 14th, 1922 in Colver, Pennsylvania, to Antonio Cappellanti (1897 - 1975) and Caterina Mazzarella (1897 - 1980). Both of his parents were born in Italy. Dessi had four siblings: Virginia, Mary Ida, Alberto, and one more sister. Dessi Cappellanti married Jessie Helen Cappellanti (1926 - 2018). A veteran, Desiderio served in the United States Army during World War II. He enlisted on May 19th, 1943 in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Dessi Cappellanti died on November 6th, 2012 in Mission Viejo, California, at the age of 90 and is buried in Ascension Cemetery in Lake Forest. California.
