  • Obituary

    Dewey Lynch Jr., 88, of Waco, passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at a local hospital. Private graveside services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, at Moody Cemetery, with the Rev. Don Johnson officiating. Dewey was born in Stampede Valley just outside of Moody, Texas, to the late Dewey and Flora Lynch. He lived in the Waco area for most of his life. Dewey retired from the Lone Star Gas Company of Dallas after 40 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Christine McBride Lynch. Dewey is survived by his son, David Alan Lynch and his wife, Laura, of Alexandria, Va.; granddaughters, Shannon Christine Altamura and husband, Matt, of Archdale, N.C., and Kelly Kathleen Lynch, of Lubbock, Texas; a great-granddaughter, Rowan Isabella Altamura, of Archdale; brother, Kenneth Lynch and wife, Mildred, of Moody; sister, Ruth Miller, of Austin; as well as other relatives and many friends.
