Dexter Alan Perillo was born to Vincent James Perillo (1922 - 1992) and Angelina Perillo. He had two brothers, Christopher James Perillo (1958 - 2018) and Joseph and three sisters, Eleanor, Irma, and Jeanne. He was a member of the United States Army and a veteran of World War II. The following obituary appeared in the Sunday News (Lancaster, Pennsylvania) on Sunday, November 29, 1992: Vincent J. Perillo, a retired engineer, who lived on Olde Hickory Road, died of natural causes Wednesday whil vacationing in Nassau. He was 70. He was the husband of the late Marjorie Ruth Hobbs Perillo, who died in 1991. He had lived in Lancaster for 10 years and previously lived in Secane for 30 years. Perillo worked with General Electric, retiring in 1987 after 50 years. He held numerous patents and was a member of the American Institute of Industrial Engineers, Certified Manufacturing Engineers, Society of Manufacturing Engineers and the Rice Club. He was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Perillo was also involved in many support organizations throughout Lancaster, including the Caring Singles, Crosspaths and Compassion.
