My dad was very creative and could do anything with plants. He grew up in Berkeley Ca. He had went into the airforce but was not in long. My grandparents had a beautiful victorian home in Berkeley. Which thats where my dad and his sister Laila grew up. Several years later came the 3rd sister Liisa. My dad met my mother at Hobergs resort in Lake Co. One summer he was the lifeguard there. He followed her out to Arizona where she attended college. Eventually fell in love and ended up in Hayward Ca. Which they had my sister and then me. My dads life didnt go as planned. He worked for the airlines but eventually that ended. He was a truck driver. And then sadly couldnt hold a job due to becoming an alcoholic. Growing up he attended everything a dad was supposed to. But alcohol started making him angry and very abusive. Mom couldn't take it anymore and divorced him when I was 14. Which I guess wasnt rock bottom and no will to change. As my sister and I became adults and started having our kids we would visit him at his residence in Middletown Ca. Life started changing. I was diagnosed with Lupus. Few months later I noticed that he had same symptoms. Yup I was right my dad had Lupus too. Alcohol still a big factor. His fatal disease would not get better. As time went on he got sicker. Dr. Told him if he drank one more time he would die. He didnt listen. Two weeks later I get the devastating phone call. His liver gave out. Only 58 yrs old. I miss him everyday
