Dina Merrill was born on December 29, 1923 in New York City, New York County, New York United States. She married Stanley Maddox Rumbough Jr. on March 23, 1946 in New York City, New York County and they later divorced in 1966 in New York City. They had children Stanley Maddox Rumbough III, David Post Rumbough, and Nedenia Colgate Rumbough. She would also marry Clifford Parker Robertson III on December 23, 1966 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California and they later divorced in 1988 in Los Angeles. They had a child Heather Merriweather Robertson. She and Theodore Ringwald Hartley married on November 18, 1989 in New York City, New York County, and they were married until Dina's death on May 22, 2017 in East Hampton, Suffolk County.
