Add Memories, Stories & Photos about Dolorosa

Shy, Happy, Sad.
I did work for her Aunt Mae, and got to know Dolly (She was always called Dolly) and her friends the Jones. As stated above She was a very shy young girl growing up, kept to herself. Then everything changed after meeting a drifter who she fell in love with. Dolly changed from the shy girl I had always known, to a very happy one. After a short while, she married the drifter Paul Thaxton. They both lived with her Aunt Mae in Danville MO.
Her child Paul was born 10/2/1972. After her son was born, Dolly started to become sad, and upset with her life. Paul one night heard something outside the house, thinking it might be someone up to no good, grabbed his shotgun and fired a warning shot. Paul had shot Dolly's horse, the next morning Dolly found her horse dead.
In 1977 Dolly left her child Paul alone while her husband was at work. When Paul returned home from work he found his son all alone (5yrs old). Paul had told the Marshall in Montgomery City MO. that Dolly had left a note saying only that she was leaving and to take care of their child. The last I heard about Dolly, was that she remarried to a Ronald McNeely in Texas.
Dolly did return back to Montgomery City, when her aunt Mae died. She never asked about her son. She just came and went.

Her full name at birth Dolorosa Esperanza Folse 1954
