  • Professional Career

After School he went to work for the City of Boston for over 40 years, hegad many different jobs during his time there, but I think he must liked helping other people in his Police department job with the Squitum City ( Qunicy Ma.) He did this for about 10 years, he mostly spent his Police career on Long Island a terminally ill hospital out in Boston Harbor only way onto the island was boat or via very long bridge from South Qunicy to Boston. On one of the coldest nights in Boston's history Donald was at one end of the bridge and he seen a car at the other end go over the road barrier and pummeled into the Ocean fifty feet below the road. Donald got on the seen and called for back up, then without any consideration for his own personal safety he jumped into the Ice and snowing weather Ocean below freezing temperatures could not keep him from getting to the car below, trying to save the people from dying in the car. Unfortunately the tide carried Donald away from the area before he passed out, he was fished out of the ocean by State Police rescue boat, he awoke two day later in the hospital and was told that the car was a ditched vehicle for insurance money. No one was in the car, unbeknownst to Donald, when asked by a reporter if he do anything different next time he responded "no I wouldn't for next time it might be you in the car"
