He had siblings Delow/Delton, Kenneth, and Joan Trinklein. On June 20, 1942 he married Elizabeth Rose Dressler (1919-1988) in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon, USA. They had multiple children together including Jacquelyn Stephens, Robin Jones, and Stephen Trinklein.
