    Donald G. Ringquist, 68, of New Britain, died Friday, (June 15, 2001) at home after a short illness. He was the husband of the late Dorothy (Johnson) Ringquist who died in 1990. Born in Newington in 1932, he was the son of the late Charles and Florence (Getto) Ringquist. Donald grew up on the family farm on New Britain Ave. in Newington. He was formerly employed for over 30 years at Newington Construction as a mechanic and heavy equipment operator, retiring in 1992. Prior to that time, he was employed at New Britain Machine Co. He was an active and faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where he had served as an usher. He was well known in both New Britain and Newington, affectionately known as Rinky . His interests included motorcycles and antique cars. Surviving are his loving children, Donald Ringquist, Jr. and his wife, Robin of Kensington, Darlene Coscina and her husband, Richard, and Denise Dunn, all of New Britain; a brother, Norman Skip Ringquist of New Britain; a sister, Janice Young of Virginia; five grandchildren whom he adored, Dawn Coscina, Matt Coscina, Erin Ringquist, Brian Coscina, and Casey Ringquist; and by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Doreen Ringquist; three brothers, Arthur Ringquist, Albert Ringquist, and James Ringquist; and by three sisters, Faith Conklin, Shirley Kummer, and Edna Neurath. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 22, at 11 a.m., at Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, from 5-8 p.m., at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 69 Main St., New Britain, CT 06051.
