    Dorez Kilpatrick Jons was born in Alexandria, LA on October 17, 1978 to Cheryl Jones and Refedell Sweezer. He was baptized at St Paul Baptist Church at the age of 4 years by the Reverend Morris Williams. Later he joined the Greater Live Oak Baptist Church under the leadership of the Reverend James S Hardison, Sr. He attended Sunday School regularly and was a member of the Youth Choir, the Brotherhood and Inspirational choirs. He attended school in Rapides Parish and graduated from Peabody Magnet High school in 1997 where he received numerous outstanding awards for his musical accomplishments. He went on to pursue higher educaion at the University of Louisiana in Lafayette wher he made the Dean's List. Dorez also attended Louisiana State University in Alexandria. Dorez was an active member of the United voices of Alexandria and the Greater Alexandria Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America. He loved to travel to various cities singing and praising the Lord. He was a multi-talented musician providing organ and piano accompaniments for the Greater Live Oak Baptist Church and the St John New Testament Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his loving grandmother, Lillian Bayonne and uncle, Donnie Sweezer
