Doris Mae (Sherman) Whitehead was born in January 1918 to George Byron Sherman and Mary Jane (Hunter) Sherman, and had siblings Bonnie Sue (Sherman), Alta Faye Clark, Enid Myriam (Sherman) Wood, Billie Maxine (Sherman) Oxford, George Byron Sherman Jr, and James Harold Sherman. Doris Whitehead died at age 97 years old in March 2015.
