Dorothy Drysdale 1890 - 1959

Dorothy Drysdale was born on September 19, 1890 at Footscray 25 The Esplanade Geelong - farm, Aneroid Saskatchewan to John Drysdale and Catherine Partridge Drysdale, and had siblings Leonard Lewis Drysdale and Charles Drysdale. She married Patrick Moloney on September 17, 1922, and they were married until Patrick's death in 1926. She had children Marguerite Patricia Moloney, John Patrick Moloney, Marcia Moloney Sarchese, and Michaela Moloney Beauregard. Dorothy Drysdale died at age 69 years old in 1959 at Southampton.

    attended school to 6th grade then began work as a seamstress. In her ealy 20s whe opened a custom-designed ladies dress shop 125 Ryrie St, Geelong which she named La Mode. went abroad with friends Brigit and Jack Moroney and stopped in CHicago to visit a relative Jim Moroney at whose home she met Patrick Moloney. They courted by correspondence for 2 years and then she returned to Saskatchewan, again with her friends where she married Patrick in 1922
