Dorothy was a strong follower of Christ and lived a life characterized by prayerfulness and devotion. She was a loving mother who would not hesitate to play marbles in the backyard dust or catch frogs by the pond and a loving wife who couldn't wait to go fishing or mushroom hunting. Dorothy’s lifelong love of the outdoors and God’s creation found an outlet in her gardening and painting. Growing up on a farm gave mom a love for all creatures but especially dogs, her dogs were her constant companions going for long walks in the woods and on the beaches around her Florida home. Later in life appreciation of nature came on the backseat of Scott’s Goldwing as her boys took to exploring the country on motorcycles, she was always ready to go on an adventure with her sons. There was no such thing as a stranger to Dorothy and she would talk the ear off nearly anyone she met. Mom was truly a fun-loving friend to all who met her and cared deeply for everyone around her.
