    Dorothy was Caucasian, her mother and father came from Poland and settled in Calumet Michigan in the Upper Peninsula. Her father's name was Aleksander though it was changed to Alexander while coming through Ellis Island. Her mother's name was Francis Oleski and they had a son named Wallace Kondrack ( the spelling of the last name was changed by Wallace) in Calumet before Alexander heard Henry Ford was hiring and the family moved down to Hamtramck. Dorothy grew up in Hamtramck and Detroit and during WW2 sewed the canvas on the wings of the B17 flying fortress and was a part of the UAW. Eventually she met George Herman Pautke and they were married. Together they had three sons, George Jr, Ronald and Gerald. Unfortunately George Jr and Ronald passed away in infancy. The death certificates note 'crib death's. Dorothy had 5 grandchildren Shelly, David, Melissa, Matthew and Alicia who she loved dearly. Unfortunately Dorothy met her husband and babies again on September 8th,2001 at 3.15 AM passing from dimentia and leaving behind the best memories and a life that was well lived with stories of strength and love.

Dorothy lived a life of love and was a part of the UAW during WW2, sewing the canvas on the wings of the B17 flying fortress. She is remembered as a gentle and loving person and she leaves behind the broken hearts of her 5 grandchildren and her son.
