    Dorothy Gardner, of Phlox, died Monday, May 25, 2009 at Eastview Medical & Rehabilitation Center. She was 70 years old. She was born on October 3, 1938 in Birnamwood to Otto and Clara (DeBroux) Stadler. She married Nile Charlie Gardner on Nov. 3, 1956 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Aniwa. He resides outside of Phlox. She attended Birnamwood elementary and high school. Dorothy enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her six children. She was employed at the Wisconsin Veneer and Plywood Mill in Mattoon for 17 years and worked as a finisher at Kautza Furniture in Aniwa. She enjoyed trout fishing and making Christmas wreaths. Survivors including her husband are four daughters, Diana Tootsie (Michael) Tapper, Antigo, Deb Dolly (Mark) McClintock, Stoughton, Donna (Gary) Hammond, Mosinee, Charlene (Mike) Malueg, Stoughton, two sons, Calvin (Debra) Gardner, Birnamwood, Douglas Gardner, Antigo, a sister, Verna (Leo) Suess, Birnamwood, 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters Rosella Kautza, Mary Lenzner, and Annabelle Watters, two brothers Ervin and Adolph Stadler. Services will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Holy Family Catholic Church in Phlox with Deacon Tom Hartman officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home with a parish wake service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will be Thursday at the church from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m..
